no dude, the recurve bow is slower to prime the arrow and slower to fire and reload, the compound is faster. recurve is slower than compound but has "more range" which i've never noticed. the accuracy is minor and not noticable either. stay with compound if you really care about the $1700. early game i was more busy finding animals to kill for

I was playing on Infamous and the slingshot just doesn't seem to do enough damage compared to throwing a shovel. Extra context: I'm playing through Far Cry 5 without shooting any bullets (only rockets, arrows, grenades, melee, etc. are allowed).
