Right off that bat, Odyssey has you choose between one of two main characters: Alexios, or Kassandra. The main character is a Spartan warrior in exile. Having fled Sparta, the main character What actually made the most difference for me in Odyssey is the difference in voice acting styles. Not saying Alexios's is bad, just that I didn't care for it. I preferred Kassandra's more serious tone. But, as a general rule I pick the female characters in games that offer a choice, because I'd rather watch a female character than a male one.

In Odyssey, you played as either Alexios or Kassandra. They were siblings rather than the same character and Kassandra was clearly the better option. In Valhalla, you only play as one character The realism for me is impressive. Female Evior is cannon and superior imo. I prefer playing as the canon choice, although I am disappointed that some of the dialogue even when playing as a male refers to you as “she.”. That’s how I found out female was canon, cause of me googling that. Kill or Spare Nikolaos Wolf of Sparta is a very important choice in AC Odyssey. So, if the choice here has you paralyzed
Your analysis of Alexios’ character is correct, but it’s the exact same as Kassandra’s if she’s the main character. There’s no difference in their “humble character from the west who wants to be with their family” it’s the exact same. The only difference is that one is a woman and the other is a man.
