Audididn’t just change the oil/supplier for the TDI, all of VW/Audi group actually got a new factory oil supplier, which is Mobil. Like said above, likely due to a contract expiring and getting a better offer from Mobil. Also, Mobil allows them to brand it VW/ Audi (photo below) which Castrol didn’t. . #23. For my 2015 Q5 TDI transfer case I used the Ravenol Gear Oil SLS 75-140 GL-5, 1 litre, from Blauparts. SAE 75W-140 LS API GL-5 gear oil spec. Used in limited slip differentials, hypoid, and bevel gear differentials and transmissions requiring 75W-140 LS gear oil. Compatible with Audi VW G055145A2. Fuelfilter changes are $120 with parts at the dealer. I tried a fuel filter change myself once but I was sloppy and didn't have a way to dispose of the .5L of fuel that sits in the filter housing. In total, in ownership up to 99k miles, you've looking at 4 fuel filter changes. I've gone 15k once prior to an oil change on a TDI.
